Faded Flowers

Never a gardener, I don't know much about flowers.
I bought this plant because it was pretty (why else?) I was in a
geranium-painting phase at the time, and while it's not a geranium
(and I don't know what it is) it was close enough to be forced to
pose for a portrait.
