It must have been our Easter finery we were dressed
up in, squinting at the sun and trying to smile pretty for the camera.
Who knows what colors our outfits really were, since all the family
photos were taken in black and white back then, but I always liked
pink so, for the painting at least, that's what I got. The past
is what you make it.
