It used to be that two of these cars would show up periodically at our little lake: this red one and a turquoise one. The reason they came by was that the lake has a boat access right by the road, and this—which you can see on the Gallery page where the bottom half of the painting is included—is that rare hybrid from the 50's, an amphicar. Two propellars peek out from under the back bumper so you can just drive off the road, into the water, and keep on going.

Hours are...kinda whenever.

I stopped keeping regular business hours when I realized that sunshine doesn't, and it seemed like the sun always came out when I was in the office, and went away on my days off. It's ridiculous to live this close to the beach and watch the whole summer (what there is of it in the Pacific Northwest!) go by without getting to go there. Most people contact me by phone, fax, or email anyway, and those who actually do come to the office usually call ahead, and I try to remember when I leave to forward the phone to avoid anybody wasting a trip.

When I'm here...
I might start working as early as 8 or 9, sometimes not until 11 or 12... Occasionally I close around 3 or 4, some days as late as 7 or 8... Sometimes I'm not here at all, and sometimes if the sun is out, I'm just down at the beach, which isn't far, but then again it isn't here. And lately it seems like I've been stuck in the office just about all the time, except when I'm someplace else, but I should probably have been here then, too. You might want to call ahead, just to make sure.
